You didn't hear about the storm that hit this area? The storm was the size of West Virginia. I know it hit Virginia, W. Virginia, Ohio and maybe some more states.
It was a fucked up wind storm! It was classified as a tornado storm. We didn't have a tornado but friends that live nearby said they heard the "freight train" noise. Which means a tornado touched down. There were between 5-10 tornadoes that touched down in the surrounding areas. The governor declared it a state emergency.
This past Friday evening I noticed the sky was really strange looking. The bf was napping on the sofa, I woke him up to ask if we should take down the patio umbrella and he looked at the sky and said yeah. Within 5 minutes we saw this unreal mountain of dirt/dust/debris rise up from the ground about 1 mile away and headed toward us. It was so scary! No rain, hail or anything..just unbelievable wind. It tore a HUGE branch out of our oak tree in the front yard.
And of course it took out all power, phone, cell phone services. We've gone 4 days without power. But we went to the bf's rents home. They have a generator so thank God we didn't suffer with the heat.
I think Leah did some witchcraft on me! I should make peace so this fucking shit doesn't happen again. You think a litter of kittens will be a nice gesture?
WOW! I live in a bubble. Especially since it's summer, I don't communicate very often with anyone outside of our family, and we no longer have TV... we have netflix instead. Florida could sink into the ocean, and I probably would be the last to hear of it. Glad you are OK. That does sound so fucking scary. That's one thing good about living in the Cali valley... there is NOTHING dangerous about this climate.... ever.
Nothing to be jealous about where I live. It's boring as hell. The weather is too hot, but there is a nice lake where we take out boat... I suppose that is a highlight. We live two hours from San Fransisco and two hours from the Sierra Mountains... that is nice also, but it's pretty lame here in the middle, in our good-for-nothing suburb.
My vote is for Rob and Jackson...I imagine Jackson as the catcher lol
