My rant:
ReplyDeleteI ran errands today (day off) and one of things I needed to do was an oil change on my car.
Expectation: Oil change = $35 and about 20 minutes of time.
Fucking reality: (today for me, anyway)
The price was the same and time about twice as long (no biggie) but the bonus was they found a nail in my tire.
So I drive to place where I bought the tires. They are closed today from 12 -3
WTFuckityF!
Drive to new place - That I just drove by on my way to the first place! (where's a twitchy palm when I need one?)
Expectation: Plug tire = $27 and about 40 minutes - Fine whatever, just fucking do it!
At this point I call the DH, and he does the most wonderful thing - he reminds me there is a bar 2 business' down! My savior!
30 minutes and a beer later I get back to the tire place and Not a fucking thing is done.
My tire is too fucked up to put a plug in.
Plug tire = two new tires $330 and another 40 minutes to wait!
Needless to say - Cheers!!!!!

ReplyDeleteMy first rant: Hubby turned Alie forward facing.... :( I know she will be 3 in June but she isn't too tall for rear facing yet and I prefer her to sit rear facing because yes she is tall but she's only 24lbs! Hubby wants her to get used to it because she hates it! I think we should just turn her back around....
Rant number 2: I have to bake and decorate a cake for Easter dinner on Sunday and I don't feel like it. I feel like sitting and watching a movie and doing nothing tonight....
Rant number 3: My fucking family (parents and sister) are driving me to drink! My sister is 5 years older and single mom who lives with my parents and every time I turn around she's taking advantage of everyone around her. Her newest thing is to tell me I don't do enough or give her enough for her kid! Really? Cause 3 kids don't keep me busy enough! My mom will tell her to do something and she'll say something about me! I don't like there why bring me into it? It's frustrating she's almost 32 and acting like she's 12! She takes so much from my mom especially and doesn't care about how it's affecting her kid ect. Jakob has become so disrespectful to my mom cause he hears his mom talk to Grandma like that. She doesn't pay any rent ect but she does pay mom a bit to watch Jakob so anytime mom says anything about doing something that she should be doing for Jake my sister says to her, isn't that what I pay you for? Mom has been sick and needs a knee operation and we thought she had a heart attack but basically she had a cold in her heart but my sister could care less and still has mom take Jake to the dentist, doctor, parent helper in his ECS class ect. If mom says no to anything my sister runs and cries to my dad to get him on her side..... it's so baffling and hubby's sisters can't stand to be around her cause of the things she says to them. Really makes holidays hard.... We're only spending Easter with hubby's family cause I can't stand my sister.... I wish things were different but she needs to grow up and stop being so rude to her family.
I think I win the prize for this post. I woke up at 4am on Friday morning (yes, Good Friday) with a UTI! And if you've ever had one you know that you just want to shove a gun in your pink taco and fire away. At 4 am I couldn't call my doctor and rush right in and I was about to go to the ER and then get charged $1200 for a UTI.
ReplyDeleteThe hours finally passed to where my gyno office was opened and they said they would call me if they could squeeze me in. I did not get squeezed in. I called my regular doctor and he couldn't squeeze me. Since I am amongst BTBs I will admit something that normally I would keep to myself. I even called my local free clinic. I WAS DESPERATE!!!! DON'T JUDGE ME!!! But the free clinic was closed for Good Friday.
Death becomes my pussy. I started searching online for home remedies for UTI or anything that might lessen the pain. Oh yeah! I sent my bf out to get me OTC meds for UTI. And I HIGHLY suggest Cystex and AZO cranberry....amazing!
But there was one thing I found online that I did try. 1tsp of baking soda in a glass of water. Totally working! This morning I woke up without any symptoms. I slept through the night perfectly. No pain when I pee!! And if you've had a UTI the symptoms don't go away that fast.
So, do I win the golden onion or what??
