This is so hilarious. What normal people don't understand is the language used in the book is normal fanfiction language. Hence, teenagers are reading it too (Ha. Feels so sorry for those parents) . Hell, I didn't know much about sex until fanfiction and this one certainly make me understand the world of sex and pain = gain, more.
I showed the book to a best friend and now she's forever freaked out that I read this. She doesn't even know what BDSM meant. And she's married. Her husband doesn't know what it means either. I guess I know what I'll be buying them for their anniversary gift. :P
I've always had a streak of freak in me. I use to waittress and once I got comfortable with the other employees and manger I use to wear a set of handcuffs on the front loops of my waitress apron. My tips were off the fucking chart! And about once a month a group of State Police guys would come in and this one officer said to me that I looked like the kinda of girl that would like the furry cuffs. I looked at him and said, No. I like the feel of cold steel. The other guys busted out and started giving him hell.
I my best friend, she loves twilight but thats it! She loves the books and the movies, never ventured off in the fandom. Well, I told her all about 50 shades of grey and MOTU and how it started. She asked me for MOTU so I sent it to her, loves it. Now shes asking me if I have anymore twilight fanfics.
LMFAO!! That's so funny. Just say it Ellen, OUT LOUD! My mom visited me last week and opened the first book and started reading at page 117 (!) She blurted out:"What the hell are you reading?" She did say 2 days after that that she wanted to read it too ;)
Yah you are definitely more confident than me! For one I could never be a server... we're lucky that I don't trip and drop the kids plates taking them to the table.... oh wait that has happened....lol.
My girlfriend asked me last weekend, "Hey, have you heard of this 'Fifty Shades of Grey' book?" To which I smile in wicked delight and nod my head yes. "Have you read it?" she then whispers. "I own all three books," I say loud and proud, not hearning the footsteps that had stopped just behind me. "Is it really about BDSM?" she asks. And those four little letters cause my fifty-unknowing husband to bellow at the top of his lungs and the back of my head, "It's about WHAT?!"
To explain, he gets jealous easilyy...even over fictional characters, so I spun slowly and shrugged. "It's a good story, and I only read it for the e-mails..." ♥
Those of you who've read it, will get a kick out of that...☺
